lovley scoot simon, i hope mine looks half as good. I suspect the panels, legshields will defo require some fettling, so money permitting will go for powder coat on frame, wheels and shocks and paint on the rest. I was told that the best way to strip back to bare metal was to go for the acid dip met...

simon,
can you tell me what the difference is between powder coat and a respray. Like you i want to go for a white. Is powder coat more hard wearing and does it produce as good a finish as paint? Also is it more expensive?

only issue with leaving it on is having to take off whole horncasing if i want to get to the horn, but then do i ever need to get to horn?

Will a dremel do the job? also i guess i will habe to get a re-thread bit? anyone know the size of bit?

yeah got the sticky book, its saved me unknown grief. I see there are a few posters on here from the LCGB forums, whats the feeling now they are charging, is it worth paying? anyway back to issues. As is now, will take the rest off at the weekend. If anybody knows somewhere local (braintree essex) that does glass blasting or similar or any advice on the best way to get back to bare metal it would be greatly appreciated.

mmmm, i see now. light comes on. Was just about to leg it into garage to take shock off then remenbered i still havent got a spanner big eneough for the rear hub. Things were going so well as well.

Thought i would post my attempts at rebuilding my shed of a scoot. Was on LCGB forums but there charging so thought i would seek advice over here. First issue i have is the cowelling wont come off, spark plug and all bolts are off but i cant seem to stop it hitting the bottom of the frame that holds...
