Re: Having a pub "discussion" about top speed
My standard TV175, apart from an electronic ignition, will do over 60mph GPS speed and will happily sit in the late 50’s early 60’s all day long. I ran a totally standard DL200 Electronic, top speed was mid 60’s but seemed too revy to keep it up all day. Now sold it and I’m more into the low revs fo...

Re: Painted motor mounts
My TV175 unrestored had faded white paint on them, still on the carb side but I replaced the one on the kickstart side. The scoot is also in the US but I believe all the TV’s had them on.
I was on it this afternoon best scoot I’ve ever had, it’s a keeper.

Re: rear shock
So I bought a Carbone Sport rear shock with 3 settings. The price was very good but the 3 settings is a lie. Anyway, it’s improved the handling on the front but I’ve also ordered some front shocks. I would like to think Scootering will do some articles on suspension. It’s so important for many reaso...

Re: Cornering
That’s a coincidence, I’ve got SIP tyre on the front but the air it okay.
Mounts have been replaced and bolt is tight.

Re: Cornering
Thanks, I did wonder about the rear shock helping. Tyres and bearing are good.
I would like to see Scootering do a full article and testing of all the different types of rear shocks, what works best etc.

Cornering
The scoot is skipping/ crabbing a bit when cornering. I have new fork rubbers and new progressive springs in. The hub and forks are both okay. I am assuming front dampers would be an improvement if I put some on and what difference would a stiffer back shock make?

Re: Running a suzuki 190 kit on a 22mm carb
Thanks, running great on the 125 main jet, full throttle for 7 miles and no heat rise. Running closer to 20 BTDC as I’m not high in a rev band. Right head bought from Chesilspeed. I have tried to copy my standard TV175 build with some slight improvements to push me into the wind and hills a bit bett...

Re: Running a suzuki 190 kit on a 22mm carb
122 it nipped up and I nearly threw the towel in with it. The plug chops looked good at 122 and there were no air leaks. I’ve using an Indian drilled air box but still got the filter on, so there’s plenty of air getting in, so that might be the reason why it needs the 125. I’ve normally found that b...

Re: rear shock
Are there any adjustable rear shocks that you can just click adjust to firm, medium, hard?
I’m not keen on the idea of carrying round an adjustable tool etc to change the settings
