Lambretta LI fetishist
Got rained off today so took the time to tidy out my home workshop. Here's my LI collection. Left: 1962 LI125 (225) cutdown "Cutting Edge", now in its eighth year with many thousands of miles on the clock, a few refinements are in the pipeline for the Winter. Middle: 1958 series 1 LI150 fr...

Re: My cutdown,before and after
Bloody 'el Red, that could only happen to you  First off, glad you're OK, could have been a lot worse. Any idea how it happened ? Turning out to be another expensive scooter season for you, especially with the work situation on top. Keep smiling mate and hope to see you soon, but possibly not...

Re: Sanford 2009
Well done cobby bet that made all the hard work over xmas worth while mate  Cheers mate, it did, the trophy was a nice surprise (Cutting Edge). A 500 mile round ride in March was a bit of a tester for the old aching bones, and an electrical problem on the way down added to the "fun&qu...

Re: Rear hub question
when fitting the cone, its important to make sure the slot is placed over one of the shaft splines............. Yeah, I'm aware of that but thanks anyway. I've built many Lambrettas over the years (too many years - lol) and cant say I've experienced this before. My heads saying its a problem with th...

Rear hub question
Already posted on another well known website, so appologies if you've read before. I've got a rear hub issue thats bugging me. I've just fitted rear hubs to 2 scoots I'm working on, both are Indian hubs (SIL I believe) and both bought at the same time from a well known and respected dealer. When tor...

Re: Number plates -??
I thought about buying a six digit number to replace my seven digit, trouble is if your scoot is an import registered through the DVLA the number they issue is non transferable (I think ?)druist wrote:Anyone know how much it is to get personal plates with 6 digits?

Re: Number plates -??
The local number plate supplier I use will only issue the legal size now, for motorcycles I think that is 9.5 inches by 7 inches. I needed to get one quickly so went along with it, the photo below shows how ridiculous it looks and you can't get your side panels on and off easily. Needless to say I w...
