Re: Help Understanding stator test results.

Re: Help Understanding stator test results.
Personally I don't have a separate earth from the engine, the frame is the earth but I do tend to daisy chain things like cdi mount, regulator rear light and always have a good one on the headlight. what you are describing is normal an AC system, (a stator with a 120W output No such thing IMO) and m...

Re: Casa Kit on 6 volts?
The original Casa kit was designed for upgrading a standard bike without changing carbs pipes and keeping a fully working 6v system shouldn’t be a problem.

Re: LED COB Headlights (spanners manual)
As no one else is around I will throw in my 2p I have looked at a lot of LED options over the years and in my case I opted for a HID conversion that I’m sure would not pass an MOT if I needed one. LED come in ranges from the old dome type that you still see in some replacment bulbs for tail lights a...

Re: Series 1 Wiring /elecrtonic ignition
Any green on the main loom is kill switch not an earth. 1 green from the stator to the CDI you only need 1 other green to the 2 nd CDI green the other end at the headset goes to the kill switch. The extra wire was used with a coil.

Re: Carb Spitback Help??? its getting to me now.
The air screw Mixture? is used for fine tuning. You have 3 jets Choke is a rich one and rarely needs changing its used to get it going from cold, once running and warmed up a bit choke can go off. if it dies your pilot needs to be looked at go bigger. If it wont start on choke or Bogs and cuts out o...

Re: Carb Spitback Help??? its getting to me now.
I'm rapidly getting to the same One minute it will start and run perfectly the next it will start and die. Then it won't start for days then it runs for a few seconds and dies . Everything seems to be there , spark , timing, compression , oil-tight seals etc . I have replaced the carb 10+ times with...

Re: Carb Spitback Help??? its getting to me now.
Sorry guys not spotted this old post resurrected. What did I do, get pissed off with Lambretta’s basically. You can only take so many kicks in the balls without walking away for a bit. Changed to a 26 mm Dellorto. Wanted to run through the air box but not easy on a 26. So it’s got a breath sweet. Sp...

Re: how to seperate?
I may be wrong but I understood that the Indian or Italian taper refers to the diameter of the headset and the aluminium bit. It’s fatter on one over the other. Fit the wrong one and you have a step at the join. I thought the steel tube was cast into the aluminium bit so one piece, an adult will be ...

Re: It`s Done it Again !
i almost stalled the scoot but just managed to whip the clutch in and knocked it in to neutral, revs picked up again and i selected first , let the clutch out and it went backwards I would be looking at timing, You nearly stalled it stopped and kicked backwards enough to run. 2 strokes will run eith...
