Re: Small end bearing min clearance?

Gp200. Crank is not shimmed. End of conrod is 20.5mm. New GOL piston has a gap of 22.65mm. I had a 20mm small end bearing in, but had rattle. It's actually 19.75mm. I understand the gap on each side should be between 0.7-1.3mm. Is this correct? In the above case my SEB was smaller than the conrod e...

Anyone found a turn signal switch for a S3?

Hi, I have a Servetta with turn signals and it has a small switch box that attaches to the two holes to the left and below the light switch. I want to add indicators to my other lambrettas but this Servetta part has never been reproduced. I don't want to rewire the light switch for the indicators. I...

Re: suggestions sought for Li150-3 restoration (carb/175/clubman)

My other Lambretta is worth too much to leave sitting outside my office. Just curious do Lambrettas draw more attention from nefarious types than say a modern Vespa? The only chance of my Lambretta being recognized is if I park in the old Italian or Indian neighborhoods of the city. This often lead...

Re: suggestions sought for Li150-3 restoration (carb/175/clubman)

Hey, here is the cast away that I was posting questions about. I got this 1963 Li150 for free. 4,000 miles on the odometer. It had been in an accident, abandoned outside, vandalized, and water had filled the engine. It was not pretty, but I had nothing else better to do so set about on it. I tried k...

Re: gear help: GT 200 on Jet200

scooter has a SX200 gear box, BGM stator & flywheel set to static 17 BTDC, 46 tooth crownwheel.

From the table, stock 15/46 is 4.82, 16/46 = 4.52, 17/46 = 4.25.
and going up in front gear should be giving me 5mph each time. Or am I reading this wrong?

gear help: GT 200 on Jet200

Hi, my Jet 200 has: Gran Tourismo kit, 28mm Delly, BGM clubman. I changed front sprocket to 16 tooth. It pulls like a train through to 3rd gear, say about 85-90 kmph, then I get into 4th gear and the revs drop. Acceleration continues but noticably slower. I top out about 115 - 120 kmph but it takes ...

Oil weeping out case nut on a fresh rebuild

After about 600 kms on my rally 200 I noticed an oil drip. Taking the flywheel off I could see it's not coming out the oul seal, rather the top left case nut you can see behind the flywheel. I retorqued and stop won't stop. I assume my case gasket is pinched, torn etc. I'd rather not have to redo th...

Opening up the exhaust port

This is a 150 jug bored to 175. I made a mask on the scootrs pipe ubend and transferred to where it attaches to the barrel. So is the process I grind away this material, polish it smooth, and on the inside of the barrel make sure there is no Sharp edge? And do catch the material coming off, do you l...
