Re: SIP Lambretta Digital Speedo
I've had mine on my SX for a week, done 260 running in miles. Everything works perfectly with a BGM 120 stator. I have been using a GPS to check and adjust the mileage. It looks standard, but is a great trick part! It's the best thing ever! Will be fitting one on my GP shortly! Hey Maz how did you ...

Re: SIP Lambretta Digital Speedo
When I first fitted mine on my GP I thought it was rubbish as the temp sensor wouldn't fit and once I dremelled a fin to make it fit the whole display started freezing and generally behaving strangely. SIP didn't seem to have any interest and the product seemed rubbish....... But once I'd worked ou...

Nice looking scooter!
Hope the new seat is comfortable (cause it's damned ugly IMHO )

Re: SIP Lambretta Digital Speedo
I think this is the SIP part number for the magnetic sensor, you would have to confirm with SIP.rbgaz wrote:i thought they didnt come with the magnet pick up opt yet?

I would still be interested in pictures. I've only just got back into the scooter scene and thirst for more knowledge. I find pictures really help!john.t5 wrote:Having had another look I have realised the height is what has been lost due to the hole - doh :freak:

Re: SIP Lambretta Digital Speedo
To be fair, I have one mate who has his working perfectly first time and using the standard cable drive so I know it can be done. I'm in the process of setting one up with magnetic pick-up and have my fingers crossed. I've tested the speedo function on the bench from a DC supply and it works, but w...

Re: SIP Lambretta Digital Speedo
Could be! But seriously, it's a shame that such a great idea seems to be let down by poor execution. You would think that with Koso as a partner they would have stood a pretty good chance of getting it right!rbgaz wrote:to busy writing out refund chqs for £140 ?

Re: SIP Lambretta Digital Speedo
The SIP speedo was high on my christmas list, but there seem to be too many problems. Possibly the most annoying one, and one that you can't really get around, is that they have put the speedo drive in the wrong place! Its not like they didn't have a pattern to copy. I guess one solution may be to f...
