Re: CornwallScooterCentre Break-in

All they’ll get if caught is a 12 month sentence.......suspended for 2 years. Utterly disgraceful.

If on the other hand the shop owner had intervened and injured one of them there would have been a s**t storm with them claiming actual bodily harm and the shop owner being dragged through the court’s.

Re: 5 min removal of bearing race from crankshaft

Ive successfully removed stubborn tracks by welding an old hub bearing to the track and using my big puller to remove. However I recently did the welding trick but every time I tightened the puller it just broke bits off the track, tried 3 times but no cigar, in the end i had to resort to grinding i...

Re: S3 layshaft slop

Just done anone this morning, back wheel wobblin like a good un. Fitted a new Scootopia bearing and track, track measured 24.4 still wobbled, tried another bearing and about the same, found another old track that measured 24.1 fitted the new Scootopia bearing with this track and bang on no movement....

Re: S3 layshaft slop

Easy to diagnose, with the side case off place a wide bladed screwdriver between 1st gear and the casing give it a wiggle and see if there is any movement.

Ive done a couple recently and have replaced with the excellent Scootopia bearing and track.

Re: which are the strongest lambretta clutch springs

Maybe try a GL3/GL4 gear oil . Or I wonder if you could modify your already modified clutch to take more springs like the BGM 10 spring jobbie, sounds like you’ve reached the limits for 5 springs.

Re: Rb piston options

Right I’ve just been and found a forged MRB piston i took out of an rb225 i was doing for someone, obviously the ring peg position was correct for the rb as it had been in for a few years and was running well. Ive also got a meteor cast coated rt reed piston with the ring pegs in exactly the same po...

Re: Wossner piston in RB20?

I would leave it to a professional to re peg it, if it comes to that. Not sure who reliably does that. Can't seem to find one stateside. Might be cheaper just to call rayspeed, ask them about it and order the correct piston depending on what they say. The measurement of the piston to cylinder clear...

Re: Wossner piston in RB20?

Piston clearance looks a little on the large side have you tried it?
