0.785 has been used because it's Pi ÷ 4

Calculation for volume is PI x R x R x H

PI is 22/7. Divide by 4 instead of dividing the diameter of the piston by 2 twice.

I have one on the shelf. I tore the absolute Rs out of it for 10 years and NEVER had a problem. I have NEVERY met anybody who had a problem.
Mine is circa 1964.
I only changed it because I wanted SX200 gearing.

With the choke OFF, if you lift the outer gently at the carb end, how much free play does it have? In other words how far can you lift it out of the adjuster before you feel it lift the choke? Do this with the adjuster screwed half in thus allowing adjustment up or down. You need a little free play ...
