Re: Sorting 22mm Jetex

I fitted a Jetex to my GP200 because a I couldn't get the 22mm Dellorto working properly and it runs great despite their bad reputation.

Re: Italian GP200 Top Speed

I GPS'd mine yesterday, it came in at only 55mph with an AF Clubman and a high flow air filter and 126 main jet. It rides really nicely although it could do with a bit more torque and top end.

Re: Scooterhelp.com gone?

It was there a few days ago! The gearbox ratio calculator was really handy.

GT Kits

I'm feeling the need for a bit more torque and speed for my GP200 which is currently standard. I was thinking about a GT kit but it looks like the old Granturismo site is defunct, so who sells them or has Richard got a new website?

Re: Scomadi

Not a fan either. Just buy a Lambretta or a Vespa, not a thing made to look like a Lambretta but with a Vespa engine or whatever the smaller engines are? An Indian GP with an auto conversion is better in my opinion, I just don't see the appeal of a Scomadi.

Re: Ancillotti Seat

Does anyone know the size of the small spring that fits onto the seat release bar/catch on an ancillotti slope back or where I might be able to get one cheers I just bought a box of these assorted springs off eBay, there was one in there. I can't remember off hand which one I used. http://www.ebay....

Re: Anyone know this one and is it too good to be true?

Doesn't sound right to me, an 'eBay private listing'? Is the seller a dealer then? Assuming you bought it and the scooter turned up, what are the chances of you ever getting your money back if you change your mind? Zilch I recon. There are loads of good Lambrettas around, personally I wouldn't get i...

Re: First scoot (Lambretta) which model is best for a newb?

If you want something to ride as opposed to a money pit project, buy a Series 3 (or Series 2) Li125, 125 Special or a GP125 that someone else has spent some money on and is on the road. You'll be surprised how much money you can spend on a Lambretta, even a half decent one. Once you've passed you're...

Re: classic insurance multi bike

In my experience NCB is irrelevant on a Classic policy. Calling out the breakdown service and getting scooter recovered didn't count as a claim with CN, I can't comment on other companies. Getting a multi bike policy definitely works out better value for me, it's about 100 quid for one bike and 120 ...

Re: classic insurance multi bike

I had to use their breakdown cover once with no problems, it was a relatively local breakdown but scooter was recovered to my garage reasonably quickly.
