Removing Bottom Bearing Cone
Has anyone got any tips or techniques for removing the bottom bearing cone from the frame? On my last one I heated the frame and banged the outer edge until first, the cone cover split and broke off then eventually the cone itself came out, but it was a right so and so to do. Late Italian GPs and DLs should have the larger back light holes so the rubbers can be fitted, but I also had a very late production 150 dl that had the smaller holes the same as yours. Anyway, great build thread, keep the photos coming.

I've been through all my photos and I cannot find an original late SX or a GP with a grey toolbox. I can find original DL photos but they don't have a battery. My late original GP has a black toolbox so the sticker is on the petrol tank, as you've already said. I have found a photo of a "factor...

Standard Rear Shocker Strip?
Can a standard original Italian rear shocker be taken apart to be cleaned, repainted and replated? If so, grateful if someone could explain how it strips down? Thanks.

Checked my dismantled GP150 which is still in its original turquoise paint (original green logbook confirms turquoise) and the forks have white and red on them.
