I had to "adjust" mine before the down pipe would fit on the box. I haven't tried it on the Avanti yet.....

Digital display has stopped working properly on mine - which runs off DC - (maybe something to do with rain at Exmouth over weekend) and I've only had it on scoot for 6 months, covering maximum of 1000 miles. Mine runs on a battery... I don't have any of the dramas you guys are talking about It fitted my headset sweetly too I run two of my three on external batteries, all three lose time on the clocks if you don't use them frequently. With the sensor under the head cowl bolt you'll get a lower reading than under the plug. A good compromise is to drill a head fin and bolt it directly to it.
