LT Coil and Pickup

I need to change both on the stator. Cheap and cheerful SIL or is it worth pushing the boat out for MB? Any other recommendations??

Re: RT195 W/ PWK 28, difficulties after short brake

I'd also add that I gave up on the remote filter as well and now run a Ramair filter through the side panel. This is not always an option I know but it definitely helps...

Re: RT195 W/ PWK 28, difficulties after short brake

My RT200 sometimes does the same and it's definitely spit back. As I've got the jetting closer this doesn't happen so often now. Butt if I brake heavily and stall it will. If I stop for petrol say, I'll turn the fuel off and burn a bit off before shutting down the engine. It will then usually kick f...

Re: Ts1 misfire ?

I had a similar problem recently which came to a head after completing the Coast to Coast this weekend. We suspect it's the LT Coil on the stator plate although I've not stripped it down yet. But it's the prime suspect...

Re: Kickstart problem

None taken. The piston isn't new, it's an old one that has been re-ground. Not sure if the photo does it justice but it's fine. There is an old bump stop in the case, it's just worn out! I will get a new one, just haven't had time! The pin was the original one that was in and I probably should have ...

Kickstart problem

I've sorted this problem but thought I'd post a few photos for future reference in case your tempted to ignore your kickstart slipping... Before xmas the kickstart failed to return to the bump stop by a couple of inches. I simply rotated it a couple of splines and just carried on as normal. But on a...

Re: 30mm Delorto carb idle mix screw?? (and jets)

I run 118 main on my RT200 with a 28mm PHBH. All other jets similar apart from 48 idle. Ramair filter to bellmouth. I'm currently on 1 turn out... running very nicely...

Re: in line fuel filter

I used the square disposable one from MB last year, mainly because I didn't know what was in the tank. After 1400 miles I reckon anything nasty would have come through by now. I took it off during winter tinkering and the main difference I noticed was it starts easier! Even with the filter on I stil...

Re: Jumps out of 2nd gear

Sliding dog? I had this problem and it slowly got worse to the point it was jumping between gears with the clutch pulled in at a standstill... to point it was stripping the trunnion off the cable. I got new selector arm, set and reset cables etc but it wasn't until we got inside that the problem bec...
