My son has his smallframe insured through Carol Nash (since August ) but has just had a letter from the DVLA/MID stating that he's insurance records do not appear on the database?
Has anybody else heard of this before?...

Nice one lads..cheers If you read the link posted by Shocky you'll see that it says insurance is required if registering to an address in Northern Ireland. You no longer need insurance elsewhere, I registered a lambretta last month and so did a mate. Neither were insured... RobD...did either your ma...

Any recommendations for a temporary policy on the frame number, just want to register a Scooter before I sell it on.

Russ, I got 3 years and a good few miles from my Motoplat...good starter and good lights, stage 4 proved to much for it in the end and sheared bugger off....

Cheers pepot.... Fingers crossed I may have sorted it.... It's on a scootsrs disc support and the switch is not a good fit, really tight and out of line with the screws... I think the contacts were getting crushed making a circuit and keeping the horn on. Keep an eye out for me as I might be back if...
