Rally 200 ignition cam set up
I cant seem to find the right way of putting the ignition cam on the crankshaft, the key way is offset to either the right side (turn the can around ) or the left side ?????? i didnt realise this and it has to be right of course because once the ive put the cam on the crank it wont come off very eas...

Thats right with what Oz has said toooooo with regards to using 3 plate rather than 4 plate , its just what i have in mine at present

im running standard genuine clutch with 4 plates with 4 strong springs and 3 lighter springs and thats handling 26.5bhp oh and make sure youf soak the plates for 24hrs or more

dude thats got loads of use left it, they are pretty robust though the pistons i find crack under the ring piece lands, just polish out the rough edges of the score then stick her back together :fb:

Just gone through and had a good read and look and the unfortunate cracks and breakages ! ! Doh ! I had a similar engine misshap on my malossi 225 .... First noticed that there was a hairline crack inside the crankcase mouth when is had to replace the ring pieces , i thought Na ! that'll be fine as ...

Mate of mine has put a Husky 500 2-stroke into a ful bodied lambretta .. Took it to Santa Pod a few years back and i took it the strip a couple of times .....its was fooooking awesome with plenty of rear wheel spin and plenty of leaning over the front ..and only a drum front brake :shocking:
