I've heard that the green ones are the worst and are best avoided if possible in high power road going engines.
CamLam stock the red Surfex 2.5mm plates, and also better still LTH have some at 2.5mm in the original brown cork.

Re: PWK SET-UP
Try a JJK form scoot RS Europe, just a few quid.
It's leaner at 1/4 throttle which may help, this is the needle I use to clean up the bottom end a touch.

Re: Basic tune to a cast iron 175
Personally I'd cut the inlet timing to 150° otherwise it will spit back a lot of fuel at low revs, and at £1.36 a litre you need to save as much as possible. You also want to keep as much low down torque as possible on a 175, remember it s lot easier to take some more iron off or cut the piston sk...

My First TS1, fitting advice needed.
Hi All I am about to finally fit my first 225 TS1 kit, the bottom end has all been sorted, crank bearing, 5 plate clutch etc, etc. The kit is totally standard as supplied by AF, so I was wondering are there any tips or pointers I should look out for when it goes on. I do intend to match the casing t...

Re: Scoot RS ignition switch
Depends how you wire it up, for me I can not see the point on having a side light only option so its wired 1st click ignition and then main lights. Either you want to be seen on the road or not. Personally I think its not a bad thing to have the main lights on all the time.

Re: End can suggestions
Ive heard that a small section piece of cycle inner tube can cover this area and do the job, or cut the finger off a neoprene glove.

Flywheel Fin Lenght
I was looking into the possibility of also getting my SIL flywheel lightened and balanced and at this point it would make sense to decrease the fins to Italian length to remove some extra weight. If I was to do this would it still be OK to fit my Indian spec cover. If not and I need a thinner cover ...
