Re: Name change- British Lambretta Owners Association Club

Wondering if the BLOA/C certificates are even valid, there's no mention of any version of the club's names on the official government list of approved owners clubs updated August 2018. That's what I've been wondering, where has his credibility come from (possible the use BLOA name??)....if BLOC one...

Re: Tubes

Dennis, you're obviously agreived by the whole thing but by posting youre opening up the debate for comments. The fact remains that before the recent availability of offset valves everyone was using central ones - that's what the responses from me and doom patrol are saying. I think it would be diff...

Re: Tubes

Lambretta valves are offset, now. But come on. You know full well that for many years prior to that just about the only tubes available were ones with centrally located valve stems that were used in both Lambrettas and Vespa's. It probably wasn't a great idea, but that's how it was. So your dealer ...

Re: PX200 timing

I've never had any timing issues with genuine Piaggio parts but I have ran and set bike up on IT mark for years ...pattern parts however are a different thing !

I'd rather rebuilt genuine stators than by one of the many unknown origin pattern parts.

But certainly no harm in strobe checking

Re: Fork linkage renewal

You can do it with a press, but like all things it takes time to set up holders and drifts. Unless your doing it on a regular basis best get someone who set up to do it. It would take an hour's labour for someone who is set up. It took me half a day by the time farted about. It's not difficult but t...

Re: Vespa px rear hub nut

You do and make sure you get the right thickness there are two size one for early and one for later models - 1997 would be 33x16x2 thick.

Re: PX200 timing

A = 23 deg this was the original 200 setting
IT = 18 deg was the original 125/150 setting

I have ran IT 18 deg on my tuned P2 for years and would suggest with today fuel any P2 should be ran on IT.

Running at IT 18 deg may make it a bit lumpier at low revs but will be far safer at higher revs
