Re: S3 layshaft slop

So side case off and there is some movement of the shaft at the end plate needle cage.. That's a bit s**t as I had replaced the needle roller and the holder during the rebuild.. It could also be the shaft.

Re: S3 layshaft slop

Will start taking the side case off and see what's going on inside. Strangely there is more movement when on the stand compared to rear wheel off the ground.

Newly rebuilt engine, zero miles. new MB hub bearing and new SKF end plate bearing. Gearbox shimming close to the minimum gap.. Can't remember exact figure. When on the centre stand I can move the rear wheel slightly and hear a knock which I guess is shaft in the end plate. Hub correctly torqued.. G...

Grey rubber trim, black kickstart/stand feet?

For a grey rubber kitted TV I have seen suggestions that the feet and kickstart rubber where black from the factory... Or were they also grey?

Re: Beedspeed

Interesting addition to the beedspeed article on SULK.. Company wound up with debts of over 300k and a new company formed. Cheeky.

They never have any normal parts in stock and refunds had to threatened by charge back via CC.

Re: Early TV red paint code

I looked at a few different colour cards and it's rather pink.. Hence the name coral Pink..

Decided on RAL 3020 traffic red instead.

Early TV red paint code

Hi. Had a search But didn't really find an answer.

Looking for a RAL paint code for the bright red that was used on very early series 3 TV 175's.

Thanks

Re: Mag flange all the same?

Eventually went to the workshop. Long story short.... Is the gap between the 2 cowls normal? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190108/f79b105d61f593282d7daf8b9f21823c.jpg The bolt fastening the cylinder cowl on should be fastened on top of the cowl, not underneath. http://www.ilambretta.co.uk/forum...
