Re: Jetting phbh 28mm

If the bn270 is the atomiser, then I have never seen one of those, probably for a 4 stroke. In a PHBH on a 2 stroke, most use an AV atomiser for normal kits but an AS atomiser if you have something that revs a higher than the usual. 270 is way too big for a 225 MHR. I would start the jetting with an...

Re: Vespa Rally 200 clutch basket

If you put a Cosa II clutch in it, it will ride better in and never end up in such a state like the 7 spring but it's not worth the money to buy a Cosa 24 tooth. I would get the Cosa II clutch and change it back to 23/65. I would however, make some changes to the barrel for it to rev a little higher...

Re: Vespa Rally 200 clutch basket

Looks not so bad. Could be way worse. Obviously the whole lot goes in the bin. Cosa II clutch is what I would put in. If the cush drive is loose you might get away with tapping the rivets tight but looking at that clutch the cush springs will be shot. Is usual to change cruciform and oil seals while...

Re: Vespa Rally 200 clutch basket

As long as you are fairly standard power one of these will go straight in http://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/products/clutch+fa+cosa+2+standard+_93040000 Or this if you want this to be the last clutch basket you ever buy for it http://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/products/clutch+basket+mmw+superstro_93...

Re: Vespa PX200 - Malossi - Blown engine

Good job getting it back together so soon. Ther previous problem with the slow running was just the set up of the carb. The constant need to blip the throttle can be just a badly set airscrew. Now you have a nice new build get the carb set up properly and it will ride fast and reliable for a very lo...

Re: Vespa PX200 - Malossi - Blown engine

No need for any more than 2% oil in any set up if it is jetted correctly. That is not your issue here. Are you positive you didn't forget to put the oil in the tank? It is was clearly too weak but to blue the big end it would need something else. The score marks, rotary pad the actual seize up can a...

Re: Vespa PX200 - Malossi - Blown engine

That blueing and slightly slipped big-end pin are all heat related. I doubt all were from the weak jetting. Notice of the part of the crank that touched was the thin part over the hole. Is it running auto lube?

Re: Vespa PX200 - Malossi - Blown engine

A very sad sight indeed. Obviously you can go reed if you so wish but possible to patch it up with some chemical metal and a new crank. Won't make much, if any difference to the performance. The rotary pad sealing is not so important as often thought. The cause is still the jetting. It was running w...

Re: Vespa PX200 - Malossi - Blown engine

The Kheper ignition is a great idea. Being able to set the timing by phone means no wasted power. Is there anywhere to buy one? Seems like they are out of stock. I did have a Kheper version 1 but it blew up. I then had a Kheper version 2, that lasted much longer and blew up two of those. I am a litt...
