twist and go front wheel

I've seen a few Lambrettas recently with twist and go front wheels and disk brakes. What bike are they off and do they need a lot of work to make them fit.

Cheers

Re: Pick up

I have found that on ! stator the Green to White wires reads 305 ohms does that mean I need to change the LT coil.

Pick up

Can anyone tell me how to test the pick up on a stator, I have 4 stators and none of the buggers work. Before I go out and buy more pick ups and set about soldering I would like to check to see if that is the problema. No point trying to fix something that aint broke

cheers

Re: Is it posible to fix a Varitronic

I went to the Garage today and 1 of the good magnets just popped out. The other didnt want to know so I heated it and that also popped out. Which now makes me think that the poor quality glue could be causing the problem, by welding the center boss ir could be melting the glue holding the magnets in...

I managed to get the plastic bit out with the magnets intact you can see the broken one in the foto. The broken one was the only one with glue on it. A...

Re: 58mm or 60mm Crank Pro's and Cons?

Against is that the big end touches the engine block so you need to get it machined also you need to have the mouth of the block touched up in places where the rod touches.

Re: Piston bottoming out

Hopefully after shortening the piston skirt there wont be a next time. It´s easier and safer with a 58mm

Piston bottoming out

Hi all I have a Mugello 186 which I have fitted with a Mecure 60mm crank. I had to dremel the case a bit to get it to turn smoothly as it was touching slightly. Now I have mounted the piston I see it is touching slightly at BDC is it just a case of shortening the piston a bit or is it more serious. ...
