Re: Scooter Prices Dropping

A scooter as a retirement plan   Its to be hoped they have lots of scooters. 10 k for an SX or GP doesnt go far. As for prices dropping im not sure. I have been amazed that they have gone up and up to be honest. It seems the demand is still strong. However my brain keeps telling me it...

Re: Casa ssr265

lot of coin for a engine and probably be a pain in the arse to live with, not to mention way to much for the 50 + year old frame geometry. Thats the main problem, all very well coming up with these mad engines but if your scoot is going to be wildly unrideable then whats the point? yes you can move ...

Re: Stuck on engine decisions

suzuki 190 kit, you can tailor it to suit either as a tourer or a thrasher , not too heavy on cost and being cast you can bring it back from the dead for sensible coin. Paul

Re: Standardish Lambretta Set Ups

I've just read the results from the Scootering test on the standard exhaust and it showed how good they were, in fact beating every other exhaust on the lower rev range. They seem like the perfect pipe designed by Innocenti for up to 5k RPM and who needs that much more for general zipping about tha...

Re: Standard Li150 Special Pacemaker Performance

Yep I think a standard engined Lambretta with a few upgrades can still perform pretty respectably on modern roads, a good pacemaker/SX/GP150 can still motor on and providing you're not planning any mad motorway action - can still deliver. As for the standard V's clubman thing, yeah I liked the clubm...

Re: Weaving Front End

had a similar problem a couple of years ago, turned out to be a slightly bent fork link which with the wheel in still looked straight and the bike passed a couple of MOT's with but once out of the forks and lined up side by side, you could see how much on the p155 it was. Paul
