Re: QUATTRINI M1XL
Sounds like you are enjoying it with the new set up. Mine runs a jl rz mk1 with a similar power band and has now done over 2000 miles all at full throttle lol or at least that's what it seems like. The only thing I would suggest is that you fit some kind of temp guage as these engines can suffer wit...

Have a look at the BGM 30mm powerjet carb its narrower than all the rest of the PWK types then you can fit a modified ProPorting filter.

ss90 style tank on 63 GL

Due to the thirst of the scooter I have had to carry jerry cans everywhere but with this fitted it should be a thing of the past. Saw the new tank in the SIP catalogue and the beauty is that although it's designed for the s...

Sounds like fuel starvation
Does it only happen when the level of the fuel in the tank is below halfway?

Camping in Catcliffe the biggest club based non national scooter rally in the UK is in Rotherham. South Yorkshire. The fuel pump can sit at any angle or even upside down it doesn't matter. Header tank available from any good scooter shop mine was from Chiselspeed at Leeds.

Re: QUATTRINI M1XL
Vol of header tank only needs to be small about a quarter of a litre. Yes it needs to be above the carb to work as it is supposed to work otherwise you may as well have the carb directly fed from the pump. The beauty of this system is the carb float valve has a more accurate control of the petrol fl...

Re: QUATTRINI M1XL
Header tank from Chiselspeed yes it has an inlet from the diaphragm pump. An outlet which runs down to the carb. And another outlet which takes the surplus back to the tank. Similar to a modern fuel injected car in that fuel is constantly flowing from tank to engine and back again. As for a photo th...

Re: QUATTRINI M1XL
The fuel pump ive got pumps fuel up onto a small header tank where it is gravity fed back down to the carb. Its quite a thirsty engine so just in the process of fitting an ss90 style reserve tank which will take the capacity up to about 16 litres. As regards the air scoop it fits directly to the fly...
