If it's an electronic loom fitted, check the double, brown bullet crimp at the brake pedal switch, it's a weak point on some looms!
Also check the brake lamp, it more than likely blew when the regulator earth broke.

Totally agree. Don't come on here much myself now and think it'll be even less now.

Re: Best Regulator?
Headlight bulbs have been blowing. 12v Electronic, but not sure of origin as it was on the scooter when I purchased it and it's unmarked. It's a pretty reliable kit and scooter starts first time and runs well, just excessive current at the headlight bulb. After checking it out I'm pretty sure it's ...

Re: Can I use a 5pin vespa regulator?
i have been wondering the same as i have a dc bgm system [2 yellows etc] and a wassell but any inactivity gives me a flat battery ,any ideas? Re: Can I use a 5pin vespa regulator?
I can't think of any Vespa 5 pin reg with the connections you describe.
The 2 common 5 pins are marked G, G, +B, C earth and A, A, B+, G earth. The first one is suitable for a single output stator, the second isn't.

Re: Battery Problems
If you've wired it as per instructions using a junction box, make sure that it is an AC type, to keep your AC and DC circuits separate. A DC one will short your battery through the stator! Also check the green pair are where they say they are, I've had one where the green dot was in the wrong place ...

Re: Battery Problems
If it is losing charge and getting hot whilst not in use, you have a very large load being drawn somewhere.
If nothing is switched on, check your wiring!

Re: Scooter running on
If idle does return to normal, but takes too long to do so, I'd suspect the idle mixture is too weak.

Re: not another ignition question!
If you've got the money, go for the DC Vape system. If not go Indian type stator, but stick with full wave if pathfinders fitted.
