Standard Lambretta cable is rated to about 8A. It's the switch contacts that are going to suffer, especially when switching DC and even more so if it is an inductive load. I'd fit a relay to protect the switch.

But for the Varitronic LT coil, is there any fixes that can be done? Unfortunately the coils on these are moulded on to the stator so can't be replaced. I suppose it could be rewound by hand in situ if you could remove the very hard protective coating over the original. What ohms reading are you ge...

Yes you can use the 3 hole type. When activated all 3 positions are connected, so use any of the sockets.

I read online last night that some flywheels have positive /negative pickup triggers and some have negative /positive depending on where the magnets are positioned. Where did you read that, as I've never heard that before?? I believe there are problems with alignment/ misfiring on the AF lightweigh...
