stg 4 on bgm or ve cylinder
has anyone done a stg 4 tune on a bgm or ve supplied cylinder . I have just measured 4 p200 cylinders 2 piaggio 1 bgm and 1 ve . the ve and bgm both have the exhaust and transfer ports higher than a piaggio cylinder . this means to jack up the cylinder by 1.7 mm you are already over the 170.6 deg ex...

I wouldn't drill the crank at the thinnest point this will reduce the strength of the hole make it more likely to spread under load and then place a lot more strain on the weld .better to do as suggested and leave intact and just fuse the pin to the web

needle or main jet
just been out doing some plug checks 1/4 & 1/2 throttle nice and dark but 3/4 a tan colour which should according to various pictures should be ok ,but I prefer slightly darker colour .
so do I go up one on the main jet? will this alter the jetting much at 3/4 or do I raise the needle slightly

perhaps the cable was too tight to begin with ,I am not saying this is the case but have seen cases where the clutch has been adjusted to make the gear change easier but then it slips because the cable is too tight not allowing it to release fully, worn lever give a false sense of freeplay in the ca...

frayed cable not allowing the arm to release the clutch dodgy springs or plates, pos cush drive on front sprocket or centre bolt not tight

also consider lack of fuel , blocked breather , fuel tap blocked etc

Just use studs with stud lock on the threads then spring or wavey washers and nut lock on the nut . the stud lock has a higher break torque than nut lock and jobs done , I use 270 studlock and 243 medium strength on the nut .

If you use the metal one be sure to seal around the outside of the seal with loctite or similar or it will be full of petrol again , like mine was
