Re: Wire circlip help

....that link reads ok but misses out the most important point!!.....hearing a click when the circlip goes in is not sufficient proof that it`s well in the groove as it could be up against a not properly or pushed in far enough gudgeon pin....."old school" ways are when the circlip is inse...

Re: Lectron Carbs

....the thing is Dan, despite the hype, you never used the Lectron under the conditions to which it is more favourable ....have you forgotten a lot of the racers on the Isle of Man TT use the Lectron because of it`s better performance adapting instantly to the higher altitudes over the mountains, t...

Re: Lectron Carbs

Performance is on par with the Mikuni but the setup is far easier. We didnt find that to be the case when we dynoed the race bike back-2-back. Plus Lectron parts are more scarce in UK, and more expensive, and less set-up data is available. There's nothing about a Lectron that makes it worth the ext...

Re: Legshield Toolboxes...

here you go folks the "scribing compass technique"....... Hello Sean......i bet you forgot i am a joiner?......of course this is the only way to go for easiness, but would just like to point out...where you say "keep it vertical" ...the scribe should always be at 90 degrees to t...

Re: Heat Sinks for a cylinder head

just "back..tracking" a bit,as to the use of brass exhaust nuts and possibly cylinder head nuts..? i was always under the impression (having been told from "those in the know")that brass nuts were less prone to loosening....because of their differing heat expansion rates.. and n...

Re: 200 casing ID

..........the GT200 crankcase had an extra stud for the exhaust pipe......look and see if it has that, it is usually stripped and there may be a larger stud in it`s place, then you would be 99% sure that it is GT200 .......although it`s number should be 19610160....and not 19610054??... are you tal...
