Re: RB or Avanti?
How about an RB with an Avanti head? With the right carb properly jetted could be a cool running fast motor.

Avanti head plug options (short reach?)
I'm guessing the Ron Moss Avanti Head uses a short reach plug due to the centre squish?
Can anyone confirm. And what plugs are available?
Thanks

Re: Power jet - who from and best one?
There's a Greek 2 stroke nutter selling them on ebay for cheap. I bought one just in case, wich has never been out of the bag. The TMX is a great carb, but is very limited on a tuned motor.

Re: AF Rims
Been given some AF tubeless rims what tyres have people got on these. Cheers Leigh Interesting gift. Didn't the previous owner offer some advice? Or were they a gift from the wife? Anywhoo, the AF ones seem to be as tricky as Randall's cack. Tyres can be fitted to the SIP version with little effort...

No mate. If you read the article in scootering it staes that a well known race team favoured 160 degrees inlet and if you ever take a look at Mr Websters tuning maual, the inlet timings for the race conversions range from 160 to 175. From what i have read on piston port motors, if you go over 150 d...

Re: jl4 grounding
I love my JL4 but they can be a labour of love. Even if I see a speed bump I slow down to a crawl or get off if possible. Mine grounds out getting up the hydraulic ramp. Tight right handers wear away metal too. Last time I took mine off to replace a knackered exhaust gasket I noticed a hairline crac...

Re: warning new generation tubeless
If you were to fit the excellent SIP rims to standard studs you would do well to find much thread at all. All the problems I have been told about involve the rims sold in Yorkshire.

If you have only changed the carb. I would suspect jetting.
