Re: Fast fuel taps
I replaced a standard tap with the OMG bought through SIP. It's on a plug and play tuned P200, i've had it on there since the beinging of October, I use the scooter regularly and it seems to do the job.

There is an artical in an old issue of Scootering that use a BGM cylinder as a starting point for a Pro Porting tune.

Re: VMC 177
It's from 1987, it has the old 6 spring clutch, so worth replacing with a cosa clutch but no need for a banded basket. I'm happy to alter the standard carb and spend the money on a fastflow tap. I'm interested in what you think for gearing, I was thinking 22 clutch with the 68 primary?

VMC 177
Hi,
I have a Px125 engine that I would like to get a little more performance from, has anyone any experience with the VMC 177 kit?
I am think of using it with a si24, polini box exhasut and a banded cosa clutch. Does that sound good?
cheers
Pete

Re: Piston
Thanks Gaz, happy to hear they are based on Autisa, I had a kit on my P200 years ago and really liked it.

Re: Piston
I don't have the piston to hand but as far as I can remember it look pretty good, it looked like you could modify it a little, and the top ring gives enough room to use a 60mm crank if you wanted, unlike the original Polini piston. The sale price at LTH makes them 66 euro's cheaper than the GS pisto...

I have one and am planning to bore a standard barrel out to use it. I'm not sure what to do with the head though....
