Pinasco Bull clutch
I just can't get this clutch set up right. I get serious clutch drag, no slipping that I can feel though. Pinasco 251, 23/65, standard T5 gearbox. I am as sure as I can be that everything was installed correctly and clearances measured with feeler gauges/micrometer. Everything in the engine is new e...

Re: Gearing
Thanks for the answer. 24/68 gives exactly the same gearing as 23/65. When I finally get the Pinacso 250 in the scooter it might have to change again. I just wondered why Piaggio preferred more teeth on the cush.....reliability? Thanks. Good gearing calc, put in your box and wheel size(different tab...

Gearing
I was gonna use 24/68 but that clutch gear is no longer available. 23/65 is the same ratio so I will do that but I am just wondering if there are any advantages/drawbacks to either ratio? TIA.

Re: PWK jetting, running through airbox
I have the full set of BGM needles, PJs and MJs and blueprinted my £20 cheap copy PWK but have only ever got it to run near proper with the provided set from China or wherever. I will probably change this carb in the next few days anyway because the float needle valve will only seal for a week or so...

Re: PWK jetting, running through airbox
Thanks OP, that is informative. I got a cheap 28mm knock off and blueprinted it, put the jets suggested by the BGM RT kit manual and had to have the tickover screw fully in to get it to do that. (nearly quarter open!) I'd already sussed that PJ had to come down which I had started to do but then I s...

Re: Stuttering & four stroking
You say at low revs so maybe your idle is too rich for the conditions, try dropping down a size and see what it is like. 10 minutes effort and you may be sorted.

Re: Pinasco 177 kit
The woodruffe key is only there to locate the flywheel in the correct position not for any other reason. Flywheel should always be torqued correctly as it is an interference fit. Did you check squish after assembly? Any new top end is usually hard to kick over until bedded in I find.

Re: Engine cuts out on initial turn of throttle. PX 125
I've had this. Cleaned carb dunno how many times without success until the last time. I used a paperclip to clean the fuelway and out pops a tiny sliver of brass. Obviously the previous owner liked really tight jets.
