Thats it! End of an Era.

Finally called it a day. Started in April 1968 and finished in April 2021. Sold the last scooter and all the spares.

Had a great time and made many memories- thanks to everyone I've met along the way.

Take care and ride safe.

Re: It was 50 years ago today....

smashed my knee up which still troubles me to this day. The scooter was a write off but the Police who attended were very good- certainly didn't take the other guys side and did him for DWDC and Attention. Apart from the white Morris 1000 Van that decided to overtake the waiting traffic on the opposite side without checking who was inbound- me. Result a &quo...

Oh I've had it.

Just spent the best part of 2 hours trying to change a gear cable- You know the one. The one at the rear. The one thats hard to reach. The one thats got the seized grub screw. Its also got the rounded off grubscrew......The one where you end up drilling it out. Thats it- after 51 years I've had it. ...

Re: Starting Problems

I assume you have the "new" bellows without any drain system? Innocenti dropped the drainage system round about 1967 to save costs, but the "new" system can allow fuel to gather within the bellows as Mick says above. I tend to put a very small hole in the lowest point of the bell...

Re: TV175 S3 won't start......

yes- quick relap.

Was a bit odd as it obviously went further advanced initially causing the hard Kick Back. Then it must have gone retarded causing the backfire. The F/W was turning but in the wrong position.
