Re: RB22 After Germany

Your second picture has a shinny polished spot, on the edge crown going down the side and over the side towards the skirt side where the ring groves are, with no carbon build up. It should match up to a place on the head where it was hitting the head the squish and the edge of the combustion chambe...

Re: RB22 After Germany

It was a racetour. Been sent back for examination, and yes I did get the quote "oh I've never seen or heard of that before".

Can you sort of show with a diagram or something the chamfering of the ring gap, I don't really want this happening again !!!

Just checked out the Langcourt website, they look like they know their stuff.

LTH clutch

Hello, Just got back from a European tour. Had a few problems with a new LTH clutch and thought it might have been my semi hydraulic setup causing the issues. However, I changed this setup to a normal cable setup and the issue still occurred. Basically the bite point on the clutch seems to move as t...

Re: Nasty Hub Failure

Thanks for sharing my crap mistake with everyone Frank! My own fault, with all the Europe touring kit removed and visiting Colditz castle the rear brake was non existent. I tightened it up a bit to give some rear brake, however when the gear was loaded on for the next leg of the journey the weight o...

Re: wobblin

I would go with tyre balancing.

My RB started doing the same over 75ish when I first put Raceman tyres on.

I balanced the tyres front and back, no problems since.

Fitted 2 upgrade kits to my 2 GPs on Friday afternoon, took all of 2 hours.

They work a treat too, well chuffed!

Fat Mamba

Hello, I have a Fat Mamba on my RB22. And yes the end can did crack and fall off. This was welded up by PM and returned to me under warranty. However, the pipe now works it's way loose. First at the bracket end which I solved by double bolting and nylocking. Then the exhaust managed to pull out one ...

Sudden bouncy front end

Hello, Out on the GP for a quick test ride on Sat. Filled up with petrol and when I left the petrol station the front end suddenly seemed to be really bouncy. Can't work out if I'm going insane or not but definitely more lively on the front end than I remember, unless I'm suddenly being paranoid. Co...
