Re: A BIT OF SIL 175 TUNING

a peak over 16bhp and tq over 14ft lbs from std 175 engine components

Darrell that is way cool, if i am not mistaken the first batch of TS1s were coming in at around 16 bhp, this is a significant figure for a 175 motor. Kudos to you and many thanks for sharing.

Re: RUSTORATION ADVICE PLEASE.

Sorry for the late response idc23, i still have the leggies and PM me if you're interested.

They are spanish so no front mudguard mounts [spanish turning type used on these]. Very thick steel, need blasting and prepping. I'll send pics if you like.

Re: Problems with BEEDSPEED???

Wow, i am really saddened and a little surprised.

Beedspeed have been stalwart scooterist supplies to me since the late 80s and i rarely had an issue with them.

Hopefully its a glitch, sh+t does happen after all.

Re: MOT EXEMPTION - for 40 year plus scooters

Thanks again Daggs, i went into my post office on Saturday and asked them about it, they have never heard of the system other than having the V112 form to hand. They looked really blankly when i asked them what you do, they seemed to think it was nothing to do with them and instead i should send eve...

Re: MOT EXEMPTION - for 40 year plus scooters

Totally agree. That said if the system works as well as the online vehicle taxing system does now, then it will be worth it all in a year or two..[fingers crossed!]

Re: MOT EXEMPTION - for 40 year plus scooters

Sorry, dumb post above. Apparently you have to take the form to a PO on wanting to tax and/or register it as MOT exempt. They will then send on the details to the DVLA and in turn they will amend your log book and issue a new one stating MOT exemption..... Its all a little cumbersome for those of us...
