Re: MB 5 speed box.

I'm buying one, a very little at at a time, and at 1100 pounds, it's a good price when you compare it with a Cyclone 5 Supreme Plus.

Re: Lost piston ring peg

I have had two instances of ring peg failure. The first was on my TS1 200. The piston was a genuine Yamaha IT175. The ring caught on the exhaust port and destroyed the port and piston. The second time was on the same cylinder, bored out to 70 mm, and using an MB RT piston (made in UK - this was long...

Re: I've only gone and bought a GTS!

And here's a typical Polish scooter girl. There are a few scooter girls on manual gearbox vespas, too.

Re: I've only gone and bought a GTS!

Eden, I agree, there's no reason to bring a GTS to a Euro Lambretta Rally. If I rode my Lambretta all the way to Warsaw I'm pretty sure I'd be in no fit state to take them up on their kind offer! Armand, he was from Prague in the Czech Republic, Vespa Club Praha. Girls here are a bit more conservati...

Re: I've only gone and bought a GTS!

Middle age? Ok, but I'm not exactly white and certainly not bald and overweight! ;) The scene here is mostly younger, though. Where I am now it was almost all modern scooters, Vespa's, 50 cc to 300 cc in the VCP (Vespa Club of Poland). But a lot of them have come around and purchased classic scooter...

Re: I've only gone and bought a GTS!

The need arose when modern CVT scooters entered the scene. The same thing happened in the USA when Yamaha and Honda lobbied the US gov't to ban classic scooters. They sat ready off the ports of California to import boatloads of Rivas and Elites. Piaggio has followed suit, better to join them than be...

Re: Hydraulic outboard front disc options?

If money is no option, then Frank Sanderson (PM Tuning) or Mito Lambretta.

Re: Motorcycles

Yes, I have a 1996 Aprilia RS250. It's entirely standard with the exception of a set of Arrow pipes and wavy disc brakes. I love it. It's quick, fast enough (140 mph) and nimble. And it's 2 stroke, of course, a requirement for any bike that I own. But, it's been in storage in Ireland for the last 5 ...

Re: bgm flywheel/ varitronic stator

I think those add-on boxes (Kytronik and Agusto) require a genuine Ducati CDI. There is a revised Kytronik that is said to work with all Ducati - Vespa PX type CDI's.
