Re: Lloydie's S2 (slow) restoration
Cheers Paul. Bought it for £500 when I was a student nearly 30 years ago and have rebuilt it a couple of times. Last time was about five years ago when it got the full engine and transmission. probably under 5 secs to 60. Nuts...

Re: Crikey its quiet in here ..iet in here...in here... here..
I'm trying - started a build thread. Takes a bit of effort to upload pics but it's worth it - it's there on a thread and easily found. I've done a couple of car builds a good few years ago when FB wasn't really around, and enjoyed doing it and it helped a lot of others doing the same thing. The grou...

Re: Lloydie's S2 (slow) restoration
Was sorting though my S2 rebuild kit for horncast and front guard beading to get on with proper dry build - I assume the beading between horncast and leggies runs right down past the bottom of the horncast in a single piece to the bottom of the front guard? and legshield outer beading (fat one) runs...

Re: Lloydie's S2 (slow) restoration
Even though main crossmember was welded on on a jig, the welds had pullet it up a bit and so it wasn't level, so turned it upside down and cut a slot in the bottom and clamped it down and re-welded. https://i.postimg.cc/bvM5K217/IMG-6611.jpg Filled the gap a bit at the front as well as reinforcing t...

Re: Lloydie's S2 (slow) restoration
Very tempted last weekend to just cut all of the struts off and weld them higher, but I'm sure it's just the side panels being short so carrying on with the packing approach. Made these up over last couple of evenings. https://i.postimg.cc/pVD2J2HW/20190913-201035.jpg Plus front and rear ones I have...

Paddy Smith screen prints
Hiya I bought these maybe 15 years ago - (the late and great) Paddy Smith limited edition screen prints - Bank Holiday number 1 and 2. I think they were advertised in Scootering and I ordered a set. Had them proper framed and they've hung on the wall in two houses since then. Love them, but there's ...
