Re: Pro Porting Xmas Tree For SX150 3/4th Gear Fix

The first batch of 10 have all gone... Harry raced an engine with one in at Elvington, hard launches on the eighth mile, the engine was then dynoed with no problems, kit was a standard customer pro225cc making around 23 rwhp, 18 ftlbs. It was also very nice to ride on the road because it is close ra...

Re: Cylinder Kit - BGM or SIP GS

Harry's piston 68.0 and 68.5 uses wire rings ( Rik) from an old spec of cr250 honda, they are 1.2mm thick and the pistons were made to suit these rings, all the rest use cast rings.... which will not stand a wide exhaust, max around 44mm, approx 64%, wire rings allow wider approx 46mm, 67% for road ...

Re: vespa longstroke

If you want to longstroke a P2 standard cylinder you dont need the packer plate, the ports are raised by the crank moving an extra 1.5mm down uncovering the transfers at BDC fully. The head will need machining to suit, normally a 1.5 step. If you put the 60mm crank in a 210 Malossi you will need to l...

Re: barlow stage four set ups

The dyno motor had nearly 300 miles on it, not the final spec ( wider transfers work better, 27mm wide) piston clearance has to be 5 thou minimum or it will nip if you are not careful! std Piaggio clearance is approx 5.5 thou, they do need to be run in though:-)

Re: barlow stage four set ups

The piston Harry uses is 68.0mm Taiwanese high silicone content, has 1.2mm thick Rik wire rings ( from CR250 Honda ) this allows a very wide exhaust port to be made 44 to 45 mm is reliable (66%), the 218cc version has his own 60mm crank that closes the inlet at the original closing point, approx 55 ...
