Just a quick update, I changed the stator pick up box and got the spark back, put everything back together and she fired straight up, now on to setting up the gears again.

Is there any way of testing the cdi before swapping, and if I do swap is a Ducati one any good?

I am in Aldershot Hampshire and usually use Allstyles for my scooter parts, I’m not sure on posting photos on here yet but I could email you a link of a cdi they sell to see if that would be ok.

Unplug the wires from the stator where they plug into the CDI (assuming it is electronic) you should have a green, red and white. set your meter to resistance and connect one meter lead to a good earth and the other to each of the wires in turn. You should get readings in the order of: Red (pickup ...

take the white \red\green coming from the stator to the coil or cdi and with a mulitimetor test on ohmes white to earth should be nothing red 95 to 110 and green 450 to 520 ohmes the green and red are pick up and low tension coil Thanks, I’m at work tonight but will test that when I get up and post...

Continuity test on cut out switch shows switch is ok so it’s not that. I do have a multi-meter so any help with checks to try and find the fault will be greatfully received.
