Re: LI125 With Scootopia 185cc kit
UPDATE*** I an original dellorto float and it made no difference. I looked at the timing again and realised I made mistakes. So I set the timing again and it started second kick. Just needs buttoning up now and a test run [emoji106] thanks for all your help. I'm sure I'll be back again. Sent from my...

Re: LI125 With Scootopia 185cc kit
Check the inside of the float bowl for any casting obstructions that might affect the float and file them down with a small file. Other possibilities are blockage from rust in your tank. Pull the pipe off the carb and check there's a continuous flow of fuel. You say some fuel came out but this coul...

Re: LI125 With Scootopia 185cc kit
I would check your mixture and tickover adjuster screws are in roughly the right place. Then check the the carb bowl is full of fuel, and then check your jets are clear. Check there's nothing under the seat that's been sucked into the air box. Check your plug isn't fouled. If it ran for a bit and t...

Re: LI125 With Scootopia 185cc kit
did you re torque the head after 100 miles or so, could easy be a leaky head gasket, of blown gasket, a leak test is the best way to check. I wish I could do 100 miles on it. It hasn't left my shed yet because of the starting issue. I need to research leak testing as well. Sent from my ELE-L09 usin...

Re: LI125 With Scootopia 185cc kit
Thanks Grumpy. What's the procedure for that? I bought a cheap compression testing kit a few years ago but it didn't even buge on the gauge. Maybe I was doing it wrong or the kit is junk.

LI125 With Scootopia 185cc kit
I recently fitted a Scootopia 185cc kit to my scooter. It has a new SH2/22 carb with the recommended jetting and ignition timing from scootopia website. The trouble is, it just won't start. It did after installation but slowly got worse and now won't start at all. I haven't even been able to ride it...

Re: Lambretta LI125 S3
Why do you think the stator is fine? Not trying to wind you up :-) just saying that it's best not to assume. It's likely that your flywheel has been on for 55 years and would therefore likely need to be remagnetised. It's a cheap job and will help ensure your bike is tip top. Haha no worries pal, I...

Re: Lambretta LI125 S3
If starting is becoming, or is, a problem, I would consider getting the flywheel remagnetised, (assume you are still on 6 volts). My LIS150, was the same, some days it would start, then stop for no reason. Could kick it dozens of times, to no avail! Finally decided, after trying most other obvious ...
