Re: At Last!

I have no idea about carbs, but I have a Series 2 with a SH1/2 carb that had a Stage 4 175 conversion from 150. I was advised to change the main jet to a 110 for the running in and hen go back to the original 107. The plug looked as if it was running a bit lean with the 107, so I switched back to th...

Re: Series 2 hard to kick over

I have a similar problem with my 150 series 2 that was given a stage 4 175 conversion. At times I have to my whole weight on the kickstart to get it to go down.

Re: Gear Selection

OK, that sounds a bit more difficult. I'll look into it if it starts to happen more often. Thanks

Gear Selection

My Series 2 Li slips out of 2nd gear occasionally, when under acceleration. I'm thinking this is a cable adjustment thing.

Is there a guide to setting the cables up?

Annoying Starting Problem

Li Series 2, SH1/2 carb, 12v electronic ignition. Starting from cold is no problem: 2nd or 3rd kick and it's good. Out for a ride, stop somewhere for tea and cakes, say half an hour, it starts fine. Stop for 5 minutes to buy a paper, and more often than not there's a problem. It can take 5 or more k...

Re: Li Series 1 to Series 2 Conversion

Yep,my mate bought a 'series 2',got it home, took the panels off,and low and behold.....a framebreather :) Shouldn't the intake behind the rear seat have been a bit of a give away. In my case I bought it in 1970, when I was 16. I was told it was a Series 2 and it looked like a Series 2, but I later ...
