Ive no experience of the parmakit ....but you can just make your own mark anywhere on the edge of the flywheel , then find tdc and put a corresponding mark in the mag housing , then mark your timing mark , 16, 17, 18 or what you want on the mag. ......tbh this should be done as good practice on any ...

Ive done quite a few long trips ....the rule of of thumb i use is 30 miles per hour on A roads , 40 mph on motorways, this is taking into account quick ish fill ups, having the odd petrol station coffee and sandwich etc. .....smaller grouped like minded riders can be quicker , larger groups slower :)

It looks like a chromed steel box ? easy enough to make one out of steel or aluminium and get it welded up, or out of sheet copper or brass and solder it up with a blow torch. Ive converted the Li switch , side/off/ headlight switch, to run indicators before, still using the dip and horn facilities ...

ive a couple of motoplat points ones , they were given to me assuming they were the 12v cdi ones, which i wanted , but they are different. they are at work , ill have a look tomorrow ( if i remember to !!) yours if you want them ?

Ive had a Readspeed 6 plate since 2010 with an RB225 around 25bhp .......changed to a ts230 topend (less than 25bhp) 3 years ago no probs what so ever and do a lot of miles, I think ive changed the plates once. Also run the 5 plates as well on stdish TS1s no problems either. i tend to run gp200 gear...

This is where we stayed , its a pretty nondescript hotel , modern ,clean and has a pool , but in a fairly industrial area. Its not to far from the factory and the museum http://linate.allegroitalia.it/

Just use a spanner on the top of the spark plug socket instead of the ratchet ...thats what i use ...mines 21mm :)
