Re: Lambretta LI fetishist

Managed to get the old cutdown MOT'd today, couldn't belive that was the 9th MOT since I first built it, how time flys and all that. Various things got in the way of completing the re vamp, but I'm there at last. Here's a pic of the finished scoot, not dramatically different but the new removable fr...

Re: your pics of cutdowns..who's got what.

Hi mate, I've had a few cutdowns over the years, this is my current ride, its been on the road for the last eight years and is just undergoing a Winter revamp, I hope to finish it very soon, just a bit more wiring to sort etc. If you check out the latest posts on the "LI fetishist" thread ...

Re: Lambretta LI fetishist

For those that may have a passing interest and haven't already seen my update on the LCGB site, I've made a bit more progress. The new loop is now bolted in place along with the new modified rear mudguard. Most of the wiring done, including re routing rear light wiring so it drops down into the mudg...

Re: Lambretta LI fetishist

Got a bit further, wiring through frame, was a bit fiddly to say the least. Engine checked over, cleaned and refitted. Petrol tank back in, how easy was that with no frame loop in the way :D Cut up an old inner tube to go under the tank straps, I'm trying to eliminate as much vibration as possible. ...

Re: Lambretta LI fetishist

Not much happened with cutdown revamp due to crap weather, but I have managed to spray and lacquer the adapted frame. Working on an altered loom to thread through frame and can then hopefully refit motor and petrol tank. Need to get cracking though, the weeks are flying by. Cheers - Cobby http://i60...

Re: My scootering history 1975 to date - Cobby from Lincoln

let have a look at this winter model Hi Ric, its not actually a Winter Model, what I wanted to do was build a Lammy to celebrate 50 years of the Rallymaster, as I understand it the first Rallymaster was produced in the UK in 1961 by Lambretta Concessionaires, so when I picked up a 1961 Italian seri...

Re: Remade series 2 legshields (and side panels?)

Original series 2 bodywork appears to be very scarce at the moment. I'm currently building an Italian 61 series 2 (with a hint of Rallymaster ;) ) I started with just a bare frame and it took me 3 months to source all the bodywork. I wasn't happy with the remade stuff, usual fitment and quality issu...
