Try lifting the front sprocket a tad, usually just gives the bit you need to get on at the rear

I've seen a good few stripped threads on the bolt and nut.

Best thing I ever did was go to my local Nut & Bolt supplier, and get a couple of nuts that are 2" long. (about £1 each)

No chance of stripping threads and makes it easier

Can't remember who, but one of the local clubs used to do a weekend / Saturday night do at Squires, with camping in field round the back.
Probably a few years ago now, but I've been a few times

Never had any trouble, and to be fair most of bikers just genuinely interested

In my instance the credit goes to Martin at Chiselspeed. Mines now been on the road and in use for about 2 1/2 years without issue. Although does vibrate a tad !! In the photo above, all bolts etc, are just to protect threads before blasting, although the ones normally used to hold bearing plate are...
