Re: GT240 Build
Somewhere in this thread the guy asked about Shiny Red Tuning near Stroud. I`ve been over there a number of times in the last year or so and I`m more than happy with the service. I like to balance a bit of road testing with some dyno runs which works for me anyway and the owner likes a good chat abo...

Re: SIP fuel tap problem
Yeah good point. On the positive, they do flow a lot more fuel than a standard tap and that`s one less thing to fuss about

Re: SIP fuel tap problem
I bought one of these and found that although the first one didn`t`t leak in any position or as it was turning, it did leak when I was fitting it back in the frame. Any small amount of pressure on the lever to get it through the frame hole would result in fuel p1551ing out of the rubber seal but onc...

Re: Vespa PX200 - Malossi - Blown engine
With many opinions it would seem an adjustable ignition like the Kepher would be just the ticket. Change the timing with a pot twiddle, lap top, phone or even make your own curve, so much easier than physically moving it. I`ll find out soon if its worth the money!!!!

Re: Which egt gauge?
Those Koso ones look the same as the Stage 6 I`m using, they`ve worked well for the 1000 or so miles I`ve done. I didn`t bother with the jubilee fixing jobby and welded the sensor boss on the exhaust. But, if I had to chose again I would go for the Gamma tech as I like the idea of all the temperatur...

Re: Vespa PX200 - Malossi - Blown engine
If you add a gasket as the squish will also change (not always a problem but worth noting), machine the bowl bigger if you need to but you should really measure the compression you`ve actually got before changing anything. I`m sure malossi know what they`re doing and if its not been pinking due to h...

Re: Vespa PX200 - Malossi - Blown engine
Piston top looks very grey! If it was mine I would repair / replace the damage and then try the following; measure the fuel flow through carb into float bowl, change the plug for a 8 or 9 heat rating, change the main to 135/138, knock the ignition timing back to 16 deg. Also like the previous post m...

Re: Vespa px malossi 210 jetting
IMO would look for the reed valve that suits your engine spec rather than look at the price. You`ll also have to consider casing modifications to open out the inlet port and ideally get your crank webs modified for reed or fit a bell crank. It all starts to add up though. I made my own block and inl...

Re: T5 DC Stator Plate
I was going to say the standard indicator relay doesn`t work on DC but it looks like you`ve got that covered. Interesting spec on the T5, got any pics, would be great to see more Vespa projects on the forum.
