Re: Vespa Winter Project
Ive more or less run the engine in now and Ive had a couple of small sprints out side my village, managed to get it up to 50mph (there was still more) in 3rd gear. Is this about right. Gary Sounds about spot on to me mate, although if you haven't already I would think about a fuel pump. Your set up...

Scooter Centre do some smoked rear light lenses not sure if they do a specific T5 version but they do, do a PX version.

Re: recomend me a kit.
I got the DR177 kit and a sito plus exhaust, I kept the standard carb but had it all set up on diablo's dyno 11bhp and enough torque to take an up gear kit. Never going to set the world on fire but happy at 65 mph all day, just over 70 mph in the right conditions      ...

Yeah but a lot cheaper, mines on it's way for my B-Race 177 engine.tha83 wrote:Basically that thing looks just like the Vortex carb that Al at Hot Rod Scooters in Fresno California has been producing for over 10 years.

Re: ScootRS disc brake conversion for 16mm P200E Fork
The LML Star front disc hub old style design will work. And the design is subtlety different to a vespa one with a captive nut on the front suspension holding the speedo cable, making it a doddle to change drive worms. Other than that its all Grimeca brakes same as on a PX.

Re: PHBH 30mm on T5
Why go to a 30mm PHBH in the first place? Im running one on my 22BHP 210, but when I get back from the cold and wet North Sea im putting a standard T5 carb back on. Performance wise it will be unnaffected and I'll get way better fuel economy, and it should smooth out the ride a bit too.
