Af mammoth head with fat mamba pipe
My rb22 is due for a replate. While I’ve got it to bits I want to swap the standard type af head. I’d like to go for a mammoth head if I can but I’m dubious about clearance problems with the rather large fat mamba pipe. Is anyone else running this setup or should I just go for the casa radial head t...

Malossi 166 overbore
I’ve been given two Malossi 166 barrels one is standard size and lost a circlip leaving a slight groove down the side of the barrel and it’s just too deep to bore out for the maximum size Malossi piston, the other is on the maximum oversize and smashed a piston and after honing is also too big for a...

Rb 230 jetting
Recently built a ported rb22 with a 60/110 crank. Currently running a vhsb 34 with power jet and an early nk race exhaust. Jetting is 188 main k21 need on the third clip down on a 266 atomiser and 60 pilot. Power jet is 3/4 of a turn out. I’m changing the exhaust to a modified jl3 due to the nk’s po...

Re: Ideal rb setup
There are some design flaws in the inlet, the outer reeds hit the cylinder in the corners both preventing it from opening fully and causing it to eventually crack off on that corner, also the bottom of the inlet actually kicks up rather than down, he’s not changing the port timings or altering the e...

Re: Master cylinder
It’s a generic nissin style master cylinder with the bottom lug cut off and then a hole re tapped for the bottom fixing

Ideal rb setup
Bought a used rb22 kit with vhsb 34 and a modified jl3 exhaust, since the jl3 was missing a load of bits Ive got an nk race off a mate to stick on it for now. I’ve got a 60/110 pro porting crank an li150 box with 16/46 sprockets, if it comes to it I’ll drop down to 15/46 to get a better final drive ...

Re: Rb piston options
Yeah I asked him when I went to pick my crank up. And also the ring peg ends up in a boost port so it’s a no go for the rb
