Re: Ts1 - 225 Delly 30mm verses TMX 35

can't comment against a 30m

Have a few bikes with mikuni's, in fact swapped over from Dellorto 34's

I find easier to set up, better fuel economy and less spit back

Re: mikuni 36 tm not tmx

I run a TM38 on an RB. (with a powerjet)

No problems.

Think the TM is the version prior to the TMX, and hence tend to be about 50% cheaper, even when new

Might be wrong here, but seem to remember the full depth of carb is narrower than a TMX, so sits under panels better

Re: Powder coat

Did this one last year, everything powder coated. Bought some new legshields for it, as old ones too bad. Assured by local dealer were perfect legshields, when blasted prior to powder coat, were all dimpled like one of those copper Turkish ash trays. My powder coater after first coat rubbed down and...

Re: Drive side seal not air tight

Make sure you smear a tad of grease round inside of seal, so it slips over crankshaft easily
they can get folded if not

Re: Is there a correct sequence.....?

I've seen a sequence somewhere too. Only know as a few weeks ago had a knocking front hub, and did a quick search. Of course can't find it now. Seem to think might have been on the USA Lambretta website Do remember a couple of things :- for a standard front hub tightening one way stopped the knockin...

Re: exotic cylinder conversion mystery ?

Don't believe its a challenger.

I had a challenger until about a year ago, my transfers where no where near that big.

Check out Bob Monkhouse on FB, he's having a go at making some Challenger II barrels

Some good photo's and videos of what he does

Re: Sprocket question

not sure understand the question Rear sprocket is normally 46 or 47, front sprocket normally between 15 and 18 If you google Lambretta gear ratio, there is a good look up table on Beedspeed website, that give drive ratio's etc (link below) http://beedspeed.com/html-pages/LambrettaGearBoxOverallGearR...

Re: annoying over rev

Had this a few times on mates bikes. Fix is to make 100% sure you've lined up front splines correctly, even down to marking them with black felt pen so you can see how far they get covered. Also I now only use the MB one piece front sprocket bolt, you seem to be able to get it tighter. Maybe the thr...

Re: Shearing woodruffs

Interesting............. must be a few years back now, one of mine sheared woodruff key, think was 3 times in as many weeks. At same time, I also knew the chain was far too slack. When eased off throttle going down hill, you could feel it sort of chugging as chain tightened and slackened. I tightene...
