Re: Crank Play

Thanks for reply. Yes locked solid, i'd just stopped at a roundabout when engine died so had clutch in, left her for 30 -40 mins when it happened to see if it released before calling recovery. I run two stroke oil into plug hole & left after getting home, all on floor out of leaking u-bend, chec...

Crank Play

Had a heat seize - u-bend nut come loose, air leak. piston locked solid but got cylinder off easy enough (yes piston no longer any use) but on checking crank (still in place) some slight side to side movement, flywheel seems ok although it had rubbed up against the cowling however one of the 3 cork ...

Using Timing TDC Tool

When i've done my timinig i've used the TDC tool which sits in the cyclinder head & as you do turned the flywheel in both directions until the piston hits the stop. Have just noticed though the the piston will nudge that stop up. So the question is should you use as i always have done turning th...

Re: Euro tour tips

Best advice i can give to all of you is......"try waking up", from the above it is self evident not one of you has a clue what is playing out right now.....you'll have your memories but never again will you have your freedoms. ....unless of course you take my initial advice.....covid, pand...

Re: E10 fuel addatives

I had to use E10 fuel when the 'manufactured' fuel shortage was on & had a bottle of E10 Fuel Fighter in my toolbox for such a time, now i either didn't add enough or it didn't work as the engine didn't run well until i topped up with E5 Super. Like to know anyone else who's used it as this fake...

Re: Differences in kick start shafts

If you get a set of kickstart shim/washers in various sizes for outside the casing, use to adjust accordingly should sort that out. MBD amongst others will have these. Internal depth of the kickstart shaft hole on a LI/SX sidecasing is 66mm, GP is 64mm (LI/SX will be if machined with appropiate tool...

Re: SX200 Lighting Problems

FINAL UPDATE: Thanks again for your help, took the loom out & yes it was the wires to the brake pedal switch from the main loom that were damaged/split - hence lights flickering some weeks back prior to loosing them all together. I just put a new loom in problem solved, will repair old one over ...

Re: Super Unleaded

I've been using the Super/Supreme Unleaded for some weeks now with no issues on a standard set up. I understand this fuel will remain E5 for a few more years until UN Agenda 21, now UN Agenda 2030 kicks in more with the fraudulent 'green/climate' agenda (expect an escalation of this), this is all pa...

Re: SX200 Lighting Problems

Thanks for advice. UPDATE: Used multi-meter, got a reading on ignition switch/lights & light switch, none on main power feed (brown wire). Earth wire had broke on regulator so repaired (still no joy), tried another regulator which was previously working (still no joy). I then ran a wire around o...

SX200 Lighting Problems

SX200 with AC electronic ignition, no lights with exception of brakelight, will take a look at weekend but any advice in advance, i am assuming wiring as no blown bulbs, a few weeks back, speedo bulb plus headlight flickering but then fine. I have an additional earth from speedo bulb housing to head...
