Re: Daily touring mileage

Never done Europe, but we did just over 1200 miles in 5 days around Scotland. Days where, roughly, 400, 250, 250, 130, 200. Day one was crap, mostly motorway and fast roads, days 2 & 3 were excellent, lots of single track roads and a ferry. Day 4 brilliant, quiet A roads and two ferry's. Day 5, spli...

Maybe a good base for a HB Stage 4 tune.

Re: Engine cuts out on initial turn of throttle. PX 125

It sounds like it might be very rich low down and it's bogging until you change circuits in the carb. Hence when turning the throttle quickly it's enough to jump between them. You might have already tried but I'd try leaning up the idle circuit, first by mixture screw then by the idle jet. All this...

Re: How to change PX back wheel.

Put something under the gear selector to prop it up. You should have enough room to get the flat out and new one in this way. There can be a knack to getting an inflated wheel and tyre on. Kind of roll it in rather than just trying to force it. Some tyres are wider than others so depends on what you...

Re: Motorcycle options ??

For some reason i cant edit my post... So I'll add it here - I know its not a "proper" bike but it would be a great solution for you. Bikes are real cheap in comparison to scooters but cost more to run in general. I've just picked up a near mint 1999 ZZR900 for less than a grand with tons of spares,...

Re: Motorcycle options ??

My recommendation would be a Honda SH300, I've been using mine for about 6 years now and its got 31k on the clocks but still runs as lovely as it did with 10k on it. Parts are relatively cheap and servicing is an absolute doddle. They'll do a true 80+MPH, cruse at 70+ forever and still return 70+MPG...

Re: Clutches for P200e

My BGM177 runs 23/68 using a DRT centre. It's a great set up but you need the HP to pull it, hence standard px125 being 21 tooth.
