Re: PX125 Stuck In Gear
The garage confirmed the oil level was fine. I haven't had it from brand new so not sure what happened before me. However, its only 5 month old so i can't imagine why the oil level would have dropped to a critical level within that time. But i don't know, you guys know these scoots better than I ? A...

Re: PX125 Stuck In Gear
Hi, cheers for asking. Yes a bit of news. The scooter is in the garage under warranty at the mo. Apparently there is some burring on a rod in the gearbox (i think the gear selector rod?) and so it had become stuck. Just waiting for the new part along with another issue they found whilst it was opene...

Re: PX125 Stuck In Gear
Cheers again all. Its in 4th gear at present (stuck there). Turns over no problems. I've decided just to take it to the warranty garage tomorrow in the end. Taking the selector box off etc looked relatively straight forward, but i'm going to play it safe as to not invalidate the warranty in any way....

Re: PX125 Stuck In Gear
Update: Disconnected gear cables, jacked it up, removed spark plug, had someone move the wheel back and forth whilst i levered back the selector arm/spring and tried to manually push the batwing down the gears but it would not budge at all. I guess it sounds like its back to the garage under warrant...

Re: PX125 Stuck In Gear
Cheers rosscla. Thats correct it was the spring loaded arm i was pushing with the screwdriver.
I will follow your instructions tomorrow and see if i have any joy.
I did ask that question about transport charge under warranty, but they told me its not covered.

Re: PX125 Stuck In Gear
Cheers Mick1. I did try this (kinda) but like you have pointed out, may need that extra pair of hands. Had the back wheel lifted, missus held in the clutch, had the selector pressed with a screwdriver with one of my hands whilst trying to move the batwing with my other hand. Maybe it just needs that...

PX125 Stuck In Gear
Evening All, I have recently bought a 5 month old 2015 PX 125. Just been out on it and noticed that it wouldn't let me change down from 3rd to 2nd. I tried 3rd to 4th and it selected fine, but then wouldn't let me select back down to 3rd. The shifter was completely stiff and could not be moved each ...
