Re: af or sip rims

I've been using the AF ones for 5 months with no problems. The rims aren't a tight fit against the hub edges however if correctly torqued up, the weight of the the scooter and rider will not be on the studs but will transfer through the mating surfaces of the rim and hub........well thats the theor...

Re: af or sip rims

Currently running AF ones but after fitting a set of SIP ones for someone i'll be changing. Just nicer way of doing things, longer studs, easier to get at the tyre valve on the rear rim and nicer wheel nut and washer arrangment. Also the well in the rim on the SIP ones makes tyre fitting easier. Nev...

Re: Holed piston!!

Hi there, Super unleaded contains a higher percentage of ethanol, i'd stick to stock 95ron unleaded and add octane booster if you need to. I also use a quality oil that is compatable with alcohol fuels Wrong, Super Unleaded contains less, and in lots of cases, Zero Ethanol. Check this out :- http:/...

Re: Ideas/ thoughts please...........

Hi there,
Possible cold seizure? check barrel and piston and see if it's seized inline with the barrel studs.
Had a cast iron 175 do it last week.

Re: water in my exhaust

Hi there, Also modern fuel which contains Ethanol is more prone to contain water as Ethanol is hydroscopic. This maybe a reason for more water to appear in the fuel system and exhaust than usual? I tend to stick to regular fuels which contain less Ethanol than "high" octane products and ad...

Re: Eating Plugs

Hi there,
Plug gap and temp can be critical on a tuned motor, On my tuned 225 Rapido, ignition set at 17' i run a Champion N3c with the gap set at 0.5mm.
What is actually happening to the plugs? any pictures.

Cheers.

Re: Power Jet Assistance

I found the best way to start to setup the adjustable powerjet is to turn it off then jet the carb in the usual way. Then turn the PJ on 1/4 turn and then drop the main jet until the jetting feels right again. do this a couple of times till your happy, this should give you a good base setting. Plug ...

Re: Electrickery

Hi there, If you want to use the BGM ac/dc reg/rec to power some gadgets i'd use the dc output to charge a battery and then run your gadgets from that. That way your 12v dc stuff will get a clean 12v dc supply. I run an EGT and a Lucas Pathfinder from mine and with the BGM stator get nice bright lig...
