Thanks. Waking up first is definitely a good tip.

Re: A lesson learned.
It was a very soft seize - more a loss of power, clutch in and it didn't actually stop running. The barrel is a temporary one while the main one is off being fiddled with by AF Rayspeed.

Re: Li150 starting troubles - fuel related?
My Li was difficult to start back when I bought it. Turned out to be the drive side crank seal.

Euro tour tips
Is there a decent thread on here about touring Europe?
I'm in Devon, but the Brittany ferry is a ballache to book and expensive, so I'm thinking of Eurotunnel or one of the Portsmouth ferries.
Aiming for a Euro rally or Italy.
Any tips or routes most welcome

Re: E10
Good article in Scooter Nova. E5 has 0% to 5%. E10 should have between 5.5% and 10% but may have none, depending where you are. As I understand it, the ethanol causes problems with rubber bits, which are minimal on a 2 stroke scooter and easily replaced with ethanol proof ones. It also absorbs water...

Re: Punctures
I have absolutely no problem with patches on inner tubes. On scooters, bicycles or motorbikes. I use the Rema ones which are excellent. I think part of the wariness comes from a lack of understanding what the patch does. It's not stuck on there with a bit of glue, it's fused on there forever. I woul...

SIP in the UK & Black Friday
Has anyone used SIP in the UK? Are their products shipped from the UK ad exempt from customs and duty? Also do they typically have a Black Friday Sale? I'm about to order something not very cheap and I'd be annoyed if I get stung with taxes, or there's a Black Friday Sale in two days time. At the sa...

Re: A lesson learned.
I'm more than happy with the fuel tap, it's a significant improvement on the first replacement one. Most of the problem was not pushing the carb fully home on the manifold, and air leaking in through the slots in the nylon sleeve. Obviously rubber mounted carbs don't have this problem. I think when ...

A lesson learned.
This is a bit of a saga, but worth telling I think to show how problems can arise with a Lambretta. I've posted this here just in case it's helpful to someone that may have the same problem without realising it. My Li150 hasn't been used much over lockdown, but a while ago I noticed a pool of fuel u...
