Re: Single to double rib stepped rubber?
Hi Adam, I've always used the Cam Lam rubbers without the ribs without any issues, 30 VHSB Dellorto with the insert to fit the 34mm TS1 manifold and a 34mm TMX Mikuni both with the same rubber. The latest Cam Lam rubbers are thicker and less flexible but never had an issue fitted with wide jubilee c...

Re: ScootRS remade disc brake problem
Hi mate,
Sounds pretty normal. The disc can rattle on the pins when the wheel rotates, or sometimes it's the sound of the floating brake pad in it's recess moving as it drags on the disc.

Re: Indian crank with RB rod.
Nothing wrong with Indian webs or the AF RB rod. I would have said 20hp was a little on the safe side, should be ok in a tuned TS1 or RB if the cranks built properly with a good quality bearing, Webs are super strong and a nice tight fit on the crank pin, before all these posh cranks came out, peopl...

Re: Exhaust gas temperature.
Depends where in the pipe your sensor is but mine used to read around 230 to 250'C, and peak at about 450 to 480'C ish on a TS1 with a Franspeed race and 30mm VHSH carb, Augusto 6000 set at 24' static. Sensor approx 100mm from piston. Since then the spec of the motor has changed a lot and I haven't ...

Re: Changing gear selector spring
I've changed selector springs without removing the layshaft from the cases, personally I don't like using the kickstart plunger spring as a harder alternative, makes the change too stiff for normal everyday riding. As has been said check the sliding dog for wear and the gears where the dog engages. ...

Re: Flywheel on the move
Ignore it until something falls off, then fix the bit that broke. On a serious note, crank shouldn't have any sideways movement, could be loose oil seal retaining plate and bearing spinning in casing, every time you Rev the engine the cushdrive spring is pushing the crank sideways?.....whatever it n...

Re: Monza inlet manifold on TS1
I'm begining to think what I'm experiencing is pretty normal. Never owned or ridden a "stock" TS1 before....anyway as I said this scooter is going to be in Street Class next season so at the moment I'm starting to sort the chassis out and other stuff that I need to prep, then the barrel is...

Re: Monza inlet manifold on TS1
I get that Coaster but I'm already on 5.1 on an Indian GP box. I was thinking that mine maybe just running into a wall after the power dropped off?? And raising the gearing to 4.8 would lower the revs enough in top to keep it in the power?? Say if the power was dropping off at 6700 then there's no p...

Re: Monza inlet manifold on TS1
Thanks for that Coaster. Does sound much the same as mine. I'll try tweaking the jetting and raising the reed with a packer etc. I guess it could be simply reving past max power in top? If so.....raising the gearing slightly may well give me more top speed and have no determental effect? The barrels...
